Questions about renting in Gdańsk
Do you have an office in Gdańsk?
No. We deliver the car to the address you give us in Gdańsk and confirm the exact spot by phone before handover.
What are your handover hours?
Every day from 8:00 to 22:00, including Saturdays and Sundays. Handover or return outside these hours is possible by prior arrangement, for an extra fee.
Is there a Clean Transport Zone in Gdańsk?
No. Gdańsk has no Clean Transport Zone and the city hall is not working on introducing one. You can drive a rental car into the centre without checking emission standards. Only the usual traffic rules and the paid parking zone apply.
When do I pay for parking in Gdańsk?
It depends on the colour of the zone. The red zone in the city centre is paid every day, 9:00-20:00. The blue zone is paid Monday to Friday, 9:00-17:00, and the green zone Monday to Friday, 9:00-15:00. You can pay at a meter run by the Gdańsk Roads and Greenery Authority or in a mobile app.
How far is Gdańsk Airport from the centre, Sopot and Gdynia?
The airport in Rębiechowo is about 10 km from the centre of Gdańsk, a similar distance from Sopot and 23 km from the centre of Gdynia. By car that is 15-20 minutes. We deliver the car to the terminal, so you can set off for any of the three cities as soon as you land.
Do the same parking rules apply in Sopot and Gdynia as in Gdańsk?
No, each Tricity city has its own zone. In Gdynia the city-centre zone is paid every day, 8:00-20:00, and the district zones Monday to Friday, 8:00-18:00. In Sopot the red city-centre zone is paid seven days a week and the blue zone Monday to Friday. Check the signs on the spot before you park.
Can I return the car in another city?
Yes. Choose a different return place in the search form when you book, and it goes into the rental agreement. Changing the return place during the rental has to be agreed with us by phone.
How much is the deposit?
From 4,000 PLN for a city car such as the Škoda Fabia, 5,000 PLN for crossovers, estates and most SUVs, up to 10,000 PLN for large premium SUVs such as the Volvo XC90. The deposit equals the insurance excess. It is blocked on your card by pre-authorisation, not charged to your account.
Is there a mileage limit?
No. On short-term rentals no class has a mileage limit, so you drive as much as you need with no mileage charges. The only limit is in the Quanta Flex subscription: 2,500 km a month.
