At the airport you can collect a car in one of two ways: at a desk in the arrivals hall or with delivery to the terminal. Each has drawbacks you usually only discover after landing. Below we compare both models, describe step by step how collection works with us, and suggest what to work out before you book.
A desk in the arrivals hall
The advantage is obvious: the desk is right there and you do not need to arrange anything with anyone. You walk up, sign the agreement and get the keys.
The drawbacks show at unusual hours and at peak times. Desks open at set hours and may already be closed when you land in the evening. When several planes land at once, a queue builds up, and the car itself is often in a car park some distance from the terminal, which you reach by shuttle bus with your luggage.
This model works well when you land in the middle of the day, travel light and do not want to arrange anything by phone.
Delivery to the terminal, which is how we work
We do not have a desk in the arrivals hall. We drive up to the terminal at the time you choose and hand the car over on the spot. You do not look for a desk, queue or travel to a remote car park.
There is one drawback: you need to arrange a time. You give the delivery time when you book, and we confirm the meeting point by phone, usually at the exit from the arrivals hall. The driver calls you when they arrive, so you do not have to look out for them with a suitcase in hand.
We operate every day from 8:00 to 22:00, including Saturdays and Sundays. For an evening arrival this is usually enough; later landings are covered below.
Collection step by step
Before you fly, check that you have three things with you: an ID card or passport, a driving licence valid in Poland and a payment card in your name. We block the deposit on the card, so it must be valid for at least three months after the rental ends and have enough available limit to cover the block.
At the car, you and the driver inspect it together. Scratches, dents and cleanliness are marked in the handover report on a tablet or phone. Raise any comments before you sign, because once the report is signed they can no longer be effectively added. You sign the agreement electronically, and the full set of documents is sent to your email.
You receive the car with at least a quarter of a tank and return it with the same level. If you are setting off on a long journey straight from the airport, plan to refuel in the first few kilometres or buy the fuel prepayment option: you then get a full tank and can return the car with any fuel level.
Which airports we deliver to
We serve four airports: Chopin in Warsaw, Kraków-Balice, Gdańsk and Wrocław. You choose the airport when you book.
Chopin Airport is about 8 km from the city centre, on the S79 expressway. Balice is in the Zabierzów municipality, about 11 km from the centre of Kraków, right by the A4 motorway. Gdańsk airport is about 10 km from the centre, and the terminal sits on the Tricity Bypass. In Wrocław it is also about 10 km, by the Wrocław Motorway Bypass (A8). From all four you can get onto the main road without driving through the city centre.
We do not serve Warsaw-Modlin or Poznań-Ławica airports. If you land there, we can deliver the car to an address you give us in Warsaw or Poznań, for example a hotel or the railway station.
What it costs and what to add
You pay per rental day, counted from the time of handover, and the daily rate falls as the rental gets longer. Example: a Toyota Yaris Cross or Volkswagen T-Cross with an automatic gearbox costs 150 PLN for one day and 130 PLN per day for three days, so 390 PLN for three days. We do not count kilometres.
The deposit in this class is a 5,000 PLN block on your card. If you would rather not freeze that amount for your trip, the Komfort Plus package at 99 PLN per day lowers it to 500 PLN, covers glass, tyres and wheel rims, and lets you secure the deposit with a debit card.
Handover outside working hours and return to a different place than collection are extra services priced in the Table of Fees in the rental terms. You see their cost when you book, before you pay.
Returning the car before your flight
You return the car at the terminal at the agreed time. Allow a few minutes for the inspection and the return report before you go to check-in.
The rental terms allow a return up to one hour late. After that we may charge for each started day, so for a morning flight it is better to arrange the return with time to spare rather than cutting it fine.
If you collect the car in the city and return it at the airport, say so when you book. A return to a different place than collection is written into the agreement and comes with an extra charge.
